The Divine nature of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit is love! Encapsulated in this mysterious trinity is the most powerful character quality in the universe, the fruit of agape love!
For a Father to give up His only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ for a sin ridden rebellious lot of evil people is a Divine miracle of the Most High God! I recently heard a sermon about a railroad engineer who had the controls of his train down to a switch where if he went to the left the train would derail on damaged tracks killing many of his passengers, but if he went to the right his son was playing on the tracks and would surely be killed if he chose that direction!
You know the decision, God chose us to spare our lives and to rescue us from certain death and the sentence of Hell! He gave His Son for us as a sacrifice that the human mind cannot understand but by the grace and mercy of His gift of love!
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
