The ministry of Jesus cannot be accomplished in the flesh, but by His Spirit leading you into the harvest of souls whether in the streets or in other countries! The main point is this: will you obey the call and go, or just stay and sit as millions do?
I began taking drug addicts into Motel Six on I-35 in Ft. Worth and prayed over them to be set free and God blessed it until I opened a mission and began to take people in and minister to their needs. Many give up dealing with the needy because of all their problems and the emotional baggage they carry, some are cons and game players and some are real so you have to discern who will receive ministry and who wont.
The modern day model of church is not set up for the ministry of Jesus, being open only a few hours a week and for the most part they are not interested in the poor and needy, instead going for the clean white middle class tither! If you are a disciple of Jesus, He will equip you and train you to accomplish what He calls you to do, so trust and obey and do it with all your heart and you will see the glory of God!
"A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, "and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, 'Come for all things are now ready.' "But they all with one accord began to make excuses." Luke 14:16-18
