Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. Romans 5:18

Adam sinned in the garden when Satan tempted he and Miss Eve to eat of the tree that God had commanded them not to eat of. Because Adam was the head of the woman he was responsible for his wife's behavior and his sin traveled down the bloodline of all humanity causing us all to inherit the curse of sin and death.
The only remedy for our sins and transgressions handed down upon us by our forefather Adam is the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ shed upon the cross. Through the free gift of the Father's mercy upon us in the death of His Son is our salvation, provided to all who would accept its conditions and receive of its benefits. The Greek word for salvation is "Soteria," that denotes deliverance, preservation, salvation, and the spiritual and eternal deliverance granted by God to all who would repent and be saved.
The verb "Sozo," to save, is used of material and temporal deliverance from danger, suffering and sickness. Salvation and deliverance are synonymous; to try and separate them is impossible. Within the divine components of our salvation are all the benefits of forgiveness of our sins and the healing of our diseases, a complete and perfect gift that totally justifies and heals us, making us the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous. Romans 5:19
