The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22

King Solomon might well have been the richest man to ever live and he penned the proverbs out of his vast God given wisdom. Solomon made silver a common thing and heaped up thousands of talents of gold with people coming from all around to see his great wealth and hear his wisdom, even the Queen of Sheba came to investigate the claims of his riches.

We as believers are endowed with all the wealth of God's kingdom, but it takes the wisdom of Solomon to be able to handle it without going off the deep end like many of His servants. Especially in these last days the prosperity Message has warped many a man and woman of God who perverted their way by lusting after wealth and fame.

Not many can handle riches and the proverbs give insight, wisdom and knowledge of how God intended us to use what He gives us. Jesus spoke much about wealth and trusting God for our livelihood, instructing us not to worry about our lives and not to set our hope on the world, but on Him who gives us all things to enjoy.

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; "but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:19-21
