We can't look further in the New Testament without mentioning Peter, the rock which actually means little pebble! Contrary to popular belief Peter wasn't the rock Jesus spoke of the revelation of God was and is the rock and foundation of His church!
Nevertheless, the disciples didn't seem to know who Jesus really was saying that some said He was Elijah, or John the Baptist or Jeremiah but Peter knew and said, "You are the Christ, Son of the living God!" Jesus said, "Blessed are you Simon Barjonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but My Father who is in Heaven."
Peter received a revelation straight from the throne of God and Jesus was delighted even though Peter tried to rebuke Him, and the devil spoke out of his own mouth! But that seems to be what we as believers have to deal with, one moment blessed, anointed having the keys of the kingdom and the other in a war with the powers of darkness.
"And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth, will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven." Matthew 16: 19
