I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected. Habakkuk 2:1
We as believers are watchman, stewards of the mysteries of God, able to see in the Spirit those things that God shows us! I have an old friend and pastor, David who went blind a few years ago but although he cannot see the physical, he has 20/20 vision in the Spirit.
In the above-mentioned scripture, it doesn't say he would listen to see what God would say, it says he would watch what He will say! The Hebrew word for vision means sight, dreams, revelation, or an oracle. It is imperative for the believer to be baptized in the Holy Spirit so that he can see into the spiritual realm to know the mind of Christ and discern that which is good and that which is evil!
Jesus would often say, "He who has eyes to see, let him see!" He was referring however to spiritual sight in which one is to see that which was performed by Jesus in the Spirit. Many profess to be believers but very few have spiritual sight to actually see the supernatural realm.
The disciples came and said to Jesus, "Why do you speak to them (the multitudes) in parables?" He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you (disciples) to know the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven, (secrets or hidden truths) but to them it has not been given," Matthew 13:10,11
THEN THE LORD ANSWERED
"Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Habakkuk 2:2,3
Early on in my journey with Jesus a godly pastor named Jesse taught me to study, meditate and write what God was saying to me in a journal which I have done for over forty years! Spiritual insight comes from study, meditation and prayer to discern that which the Spirit is saying.
It was beyond my wildest dreams that I would ever become a writer, but God took me into the wilderness years ago in South Texas after downsizing us from a large ministry, 3500 square foot home on two acres to a 500 square foot apartment in Yorktown, Texas. No job, no ministry, except playing pool with the local barber who by the way got saved, and no distractions.
One day I sat down at my desk in the tiny kitchen staring at the computer in front of me and found a Christian website where you could interact with people and began to hunt and peck on the keyboard until God began to give me Messages to write. This was the beginning of a lifelong calling to write His word and hopefully enlighten the body of Christ to the mysteries of His kingdom!
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor sands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the word of the Lord and in His word, he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:1,2
OPEN HEAVEN
In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Isaiah 6:1
Isaiah saw the Lord with spiritual eyes into an open Heaven where the awesome power and anointing brought deep conviction to his heart. "Woe is me, for I am undone (destroyed and cut off) because I am a man of unclean lips, for my eyes (spiritual eyes) have seen the King, the Lord of hosts." Isaiah was having a vision that brought him to repentance and transformed his life.
The night I was baptized in the Holy Spirit I experienced the shekinah glory of God as a golden cloud descended onto the congregation bringing the entire church to lay prostrate with their faces on the floor and all we could do was weep! No one could move being bathed with the awesome light of Heaven's glory.
Just one glimpse of Heavens splendor changed my life forever and imagine what the modern-day church of the Lord Jesus Christ would be like if we only could see into the supernatural realm of the Holy Spirit? I exhort you to ask, seek and see into the mysterious world of supernatural vision for you will never be the same!
"And it will come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh, your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions; and also, upon My menservants and My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. Joel 2:28,29
