On the next day, all the congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, saying, "You have killed the people of the Lord." Numbers 17:41

Imagine, you just saw three of God's leaders who rebelled against Moses go alive into Hell before the entire congregation, along with their families and 250 men of renown turned into french fries by the fire from Heaven and still you complain? If that won't raise your fear of God level, I don't know what will!

Moses couldn't believe it either, then God said, "Get away from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment!" Moses then told Aaron to take his censer and put fire in it (a type of intercession) and take it quickly to the congregation and make atonement, for wrath has gone out from the Lord! The plague has begun.

Keep in mind, the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience as it states in Romans and the people's disobedience was complaining! Have you ever complained against the Lord? You might want to think twice next time you feel like you can do a better job of running your life than He can!

And Aaron stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped. Now those who died in the plague were fourteen thousand, seven hundred, besides those who died in the Korah incident. Numbers 16:48,49
