Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6
This was the first word God ever gave to me years ago and is one of my favorite scriptures. There is so much truth in what this proverb is saying in that we are to trust God with every fiber of our being!
Today however we have put our trust in man's ability, medical science and medicine, then when everything fails we cry out to God who was there all the time. I'm not knocking doctors I've got a half dozen of them, but for 45 years, even before I was saved I trusted God alone and He took good care of me. It wasn't until I couldn't pray my way out of a certain disease that I turned to the medical profession, only to find out my disease was caused by my lifestyle.
Jeremiah said, "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord!" To truly walk in the divine will of God's healing power we must turn our hearts totally over to Him and trust Him to heal us! Leaning on your own understanding will always lead you into deception, so set your eyes on Him and He will never let you down!
Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones. Proverbs 3:7,8
