Abiding in the vine provides all the benefits of the heavenly kingdom: divine provision, new covenant healing, deliverance and an abundance of spiritual revelation. As stewards of God's mysteries we have been given eyes to see and ears to hear what no one else can.
A relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ produces the presence of Holy Spirit who permeates our very souls with an anointing that covers us and releases in us the supernatural power and peace of God. The children of Israel in the Old Testament only saw the holy presence of God descend upon the tent of meeting, but now we are that very tent, containing His presence and we experience it continually as we commune with Him.
Many today are satisfied with a weekly ritualistic religious experience, sitting in a pew, listening to twenty minutes of ear tickling mush, sing a few songs, write a check and go home and watch the game. That is the epitome of mediocrity that produces death in its congregation, those who are complacent and blinded to the supernatural presence of God!
"By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be my disciples." John 15:8
