Restore to me the joy of my salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted to You. Psalm 51:12,13

The joy of the Lord is our strength but when we sin there is no joy because the way of our salvation is clouded over and we are filled with doubts and fears which lead us into deep depression.

Because all things work together for good to those who love God, David knew he would again testify of God's abundant grace and mercy and would someday preach repentance and deliverance even though he committed adultery and murder that carried two death sentences. God is a God of restoration, always forgiving those who come in repentance just as we forgive our children, so He forgives us.

There is hope for the sinner who cries out to God for mercy because His grace is more than enough to sustain us and restore the joy of our salvation once we are forgiven and restored. Then the condemnation from the enemy subsides and we are again freed from the bondage of sin.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." II Corinthians 12:9
