The architects were laying a foundation for the new church of Jesus Christ to build on, a powerful assembly of saints, trained, equipped and about to be sent to expand the kingdom of God! The apostles were teaching about Jesus, not tradition, but life in the Spirit with Him.
In residential ministry where I spent most of my life in Christ we experienced what these new believers did in that people were being saved and delivered on a regular basis and signs and wonders were frequent! We were together 24/7 and God was moving in and upon the ministry as we taught and prayed and sang of the wonderful works of the Spirit. When people came on the property sometimes they would begin to weep as the Spirit touched their hearts.
How would you like to live in church or should I say live as the church, being together with your spiritual family and seeing God move on a daily basis performing signs and transforming lives. This life is so foreign today to a people who are too busy to be disciples of Christ and too distracted to see the glorious church of the living God!
Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all as anyone had need. Acts 2:44,45
