Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works. James 2:17,18

The works of God are evident in that we have a universe and all things living on the planet! He exercised His faith by calling into existence things that did not exist and we live and breathe and have our being in His works!
Jesus performed many works of faith but many times He would ask those He was praying for to exhibit His works by saying to them, "Stretch out your hand, take up your pallet and walk, or rise and be healed!" Faith is validated by works! The old plumber turned preacher, Smith Wigglesworth had a close friend die and Smith went to the wake, not to pay his respects, but to raise him from the dead!
Imagine walking into the funeral home where family and friends were gathered and jerk the corpse out of the casket and in the name of Jesus he said, "Live!" The dead man fell to the floor and most at that point would have given up, not Smith, after three tries he walked out with him! Praise be to God!
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:26
