Love is not provoked. I Corinthians 13:5
Jesus was our example of love, being tortured, beaten, punched, crowned with thorns and crucified! Like a lamb He made no sound but took the punishment without being provoked! From the garden to the cross He was beaten beyond recognition!
God allowed His Son to be crushed as a sacrifice for our sins to whom the stroke was due! Jesus bore our sins in His body on the cross and shed His blood to wash away our sins, transgressions and iniquities! Never provoked or angered He took our punishment without a word even though He could have called down a legion of angels!
Jesus bled in seven specific places that healed our diseases and set us free to live in victory and overcome the powers of darkness! By His sacrifice we can live forever knowing that our sin was washed away, and the gates of Heaven's glory are opened to us who are born again! Praise the Lord!
He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. Isaiah 53:7
