Love does not parade itself; it is not puffed up. I Corinthians 13:4

In ministry there is a temptation to become arrogant and show off what in actuality is God's, His gifts, miracles and even your ability to preach can become a prideful thing! Today many preachers have become "Superstars" selling millions of books and all kinds of merchandize that have made many of them multimillionaires!

Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with having money as long as the money doesn't have you! Jesus was our example who performed great and mighty signs, wonders and miracles and for three years preached, healed and delivered thousands of people but at the end of His ministry there wasn't a "Chrystal Catedral," or a mega-church, only 120 sold out disciples waiting on the promise of His Holy Spirit.

The apostle Paul had every right to become prideful being a Pharisee, a Hebrew of Hebrews and a violent persecutor of the church, but when he met Jesus, he was knocked off his horse, blinded and humbled to become one of the greatest New Testament men of God! When one meets Jesus there is nothing on earth that compares with the mercy and grace received in a man's heart that brings about the humility of the Lord.

For we are the circumcision who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:3
