This became normal operations for the new church comprised of New Men (and women) and continued to flourish under the leading of the Holy Spirit! Every week there was spiritual activity and supernatural occurrences happening all across the city, not just on Sundays or the Sabbath but all week long!
Signs, wonders, and miracles were abundant and the excitement grew so that thousands were saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit! Imagine today what would happen if all these supernatural works would manifest in our Sunday services instead of a dusty old sermon with three points, a poem, an offering, and an afternoon nap!
Sadly, our lifestyles and the clock on the wall limit our love affair with Jesus and greatly diminish any supernatural manifestations from happening. It would be like making love with your spouse and pointing to the alarm clock saying: "You've got five minutes buddy!" This is why the American church is dead and they have to pump up the services with music, special guests, and drama so that the congregation will stay awake!
Then fear came upon every soul, and many signs and wonders were done through the apostles. Acts 2:43
