As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. Proverbs 27:17

This scripture reminds me of the movie, "The Outlaw Josey Wales" when Josey approached Chief Ten Bears to tell him that they needed to live in peace with one another or they could die together in battle, the choice was up to him. The wise old chief told him that his words were words of iron, not as the Government who lied to them and so he told Josey, "We will live in peace!"

God uses us to sharpen one another, not just by what we speak, but how we interact with one another. In our men's fellowship we have had some very interesting discussions, sometimes intense but always meant to sharpen our relationships and become honest with one another. Transparency is lacking today among believers because people are afraid to open up for fear of their "dirty laundry" being aired on social media, and rightly so.

Spiritual intimacy with one another and with God is necessary for one to have a healthy relationship in the body of Christ. In-to-me-see should be our cry to the Father, allowing Him access to the vaults and closets of our hearts, exposing evil and hidden sins that cause strongholds and giving Holy Spirit free reign over our lives! So, let your words be words of iron and your actions with one another be honest and transparent sharpening your relationships and your fellowship in the Spirit.

As in water, face reflects face, so a man's heart reveals the man. Proverbs 27:19
