And He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints (us) for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect (complete) man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13

Wow! That is a scripture full of the revelation of the body of Christ and the dynamics of the unity of the faith! First of all, unity is not sitting around the campfire singing kumbaya, it is the supernatural bond between brothers and sisters in Christ whose divine unification comes from Koinonia, the Greek word for fellowship and having all things in common!
The first church at Pentecost were all in one accord waiting on the promise of God and they were all filled with His Holy Spirit! United in faith and believing the promise that Jesus gave them, they saw and experienced the outcome, and all spoke in tongues! This very first miracle and operation of the most controversial gift rendered the first harvest of 3000 souls from out of town.
Power from on High, fire from Heaven and supernatural works were the first signs of a miraculous church that grew exponentially for the next few years. United in faith and having all things in common they were an example for us to follow!
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8
