What a difference a day makes, a day filled with Holy Spirit power! Peter who had denied his Lord was now the first to preach His gospel after being filled with the Holy Spirit with the rest of the disciples and 3000 were saved!
Great leadership in the kingdom doesn't come from being eloquent or even smart, it comes from God's anointing on a person's life, giving him supernatural power, wisdom and discernment. Peter was an example of how God can transform a hardened fisherman into a brave and powerful witness and apostle for Christ.
When Jesus asked His disciples who men said that He was, Peter said, "You are the Christ, (anointed One) Son of the living God." Peter had received a word of knowledge directly from the throne of the Most High! Throughout his life he suffered many things, but was always faithful, preaching the Word and performing signs and wonders, finally being crucified upside down because he said he wasn't worthy to die like his Lord!
"And I say to you that you are Peter, (little pebble) and on this rock (the revelation of God) I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18
