How could a puny runt of a kid who wasn't even recognized by his own father to be anointed by Samuel the prophet kill a nine-foot-nine giant? The answer is faith and knowing who you are and to whom you belong! David knew that the battle was the Lord's, and he also had a rock-solid relationship with the Most High!
When David appeared on the scene, the giant was taunting the armies of Israel so he inquired what the man who killed Goliath would get and then through his brother and others, fear, doubt and unbelief tried to stop him from the fight! David wasn't moved by fear because he had already killed a lion and a bear in the fields of his father and this Philistine was just another mountain to be moved by his faith in God!
Undaunted by the giant's curses, he chose five smooth stones and ran toward the battle, sling in hand, and in faith he slung it and hit the giant in his forehead, then took his sword and cut off his head! Problem solved! Do you have a Goliath in your life? If so, trust God and by faith say to this giant, be moved, just as Jesus said to do with all the mountains in your life!
Yet in all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37
