And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself. "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." Matthew 9:20,21
And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself. "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." Matthew 9:20,21
This woman had the faith to believe and to appropriate God's promise to heal her of her affliction by just touching His garment, which in actuality was the tassel of His prayer shawl, His Tallit.
The four tassels on the Tallit were to remind the wearer of the word of God and the woman knew that God had sent His word to heal her. As she reached out, stretching her faith and touching His garment she was immediately healed. When she touched Him, immediately Jesus knew that power had gone out from Him and that she had the faith to be healed!
One step of faith can accomplish much for the believer who will dare to trust God and touch the tassel of His garment. His word, our promise is His bond and He watches over it to perform it and that is why He knew when the woman touched Him.
"Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction." Mark 5:34
