Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven." Matthew 18:21,22

Un-forgiveness is one of the greatest hindrances and causes of sickness that afflict people known to man. Because we have been forgiven much, we also are commanded to forgive much, everyone, even our enemies.

Jesus told Peter a story about a servant who owed his master much but had nothing in which to repay him, so his master ordered he and his wife, children and all he possessed to be sold that payment might be made. The servant fell down before him and begged him to be patient and he would repay the debt, so his master was moved with compassion and released him and forgave the debt.

The servant then went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him little in comparison to what his master forgave and demanded payment and began to choke him, so his fellow servant also begged him for mercy but he refused to forgive. When the servant's master heard this he was moved with anger (wrath of God) and delivered him to the torturers (demons) until he paid all that was due.

"And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers (a type of demons) until he should pay all that was due to him. "So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses." Matthew 18:34,35
