You have heard the remark that some people are so heavenly-minded that they are no earthly good, but I say we are too earthly-minded, making us no spiritually good! As supernatural people, we have the very mind of Christ and should think as Christ does on heavenly things!
We are living in extremely dangerous times with pestilence stalking the world, killing millions, earthquakes and natural disasters abounding, and lawlessness breaking out in the streets, we must have the mind of Christ! Warriors cannot fight when they are distracted by the lusts and pleasures of the world with worries and fears clouding their judgment! We must war in the Spirit against an unseen enemy who is robbing, killing, and destroying the earth!
The scripture teaches us that we are to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ! I remember in school when I should have been paying attention, I was daydreaming, filling my mind with the things of the flesh or just letting my mind wander! Our enemies are experienced warriors deceiving people for thousands of years and although we have all power and authority over them, they have still managed to seduce and defeat millions of Spirit-filled believers!
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (of the flesh) but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing (spiritual entity) that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. II Corinthians 10:4,5
