For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, (teaching) but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. II Timothy 4:3,4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, (teaching) but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. II Timothy 4:3,4
Jesus warned us that in the last days there would be many false prophets and teachers and this is certainly the case today! David Wilkerson, my mentor and powerful prophet of God used to call them "Pillow Prophets" for their soft approach to the gospel and repentance from sin!
If you are going to appropriate that which God has promised you, then you will have to flush out your spirit and what your mind has told you that in most cases is false information and fill your heart with the truth of God's word! The truth will set you free, but only the truth you know and become convinced of will in fact set you free!
It doesn't matter if the whole bunch of church folks turn away from the truth to follow these devils who pervert the gospel and deceive the unsuspecting, you keep your eyes on the prize, the high calling and reject anything that doesn't line up with God's word!
But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. II Timothy 4:5
