Peter and John had just prayed for a crippled man and God immediately healed him and the High Priest and the leaders of the people questioned them as to where this great power came from. Peter, filled with Holy Spirit boldness testified of the Christ and preached the gospel to them and when they returned to their companions the place was shaken and the Holy Spirit poured out!
Years ago my friend and I were called to a home south of Ft. Worth to pray for someone who needed deliverance. The day before our arrival a great wind came around the house and the next door neighbor died making this event a strange and fearful time but God prevailed. That night we prayed for everyone in the house, some were saved, others delivered and some filled with the Holy Spirit. When we were about to leave the father asked if we would marry he and his wife in the Spirit, a first for me, but we did and they were blessed!
I never heard from this family again but it was one of the most powerful times of ministry I have ever seen. If I had not been baptized in the Holy Spirit I could not have walked in the power and boldness we saw that night to set an entire family free!
Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, "by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy servant Jesus." Acts 4:29,30
