When the day of Pentecost had fully come, they (the 120) were all with one accord in one place. Acts 2:1
The very first expression of the church of Jesus Christ was about to come to life! Assembled together waiting on the Promise of the Father in obedience to the commands of Christ, they were of one accord!
With no pastor, only apostles and no order of service, choir, special music or announcements, they were suddenly filled with power from on high! We would never be so patient today to wait on the Lord, no, we have to be out by 12:00, after all the football game starts at 1:00, but these weren't your average church folks, they were born again disciples of Christ, trained, equipped and about to be filled and then sent into service!
If you look at what we call church today compared to the first church, there is no comparison. Most of our mundane services are just dead rituals, neatly planned, timed and orchestrated so the congregation wont become too bored and never come back! Are you beginning to see how ridiculous our church services have become with no spiritual life, for the most part only entertainment and no Holy Spirit power or conviction to change a sinner into a saint?
And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven, as of a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were all sitting. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. Acts 2:2,3
