Therefore as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on love which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3:12-15
Therefore as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on love which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3:12-15
The bond of perfection or completeness comes from the indwelling presence of Holy Spirit that is the glue that holds His body together. If the body of Christ unified under the banner of love there would be no divisions.
Tradition, denomination, doctrine and greed have fragmented what God created to be One body in Christ! Baptists, Pentecostals, Methodists, even non-denomination is a denomination, separating us from our brothers and sisters. There is strength and power in unity, but when divided, weakness and false teaching poison the effectiveness of the body's ability to fulfill their mission.
United we stand and divided we fall as the saying goes! Imagine the power and glory of God on a sold-out church, on fire with the anointing and passion of Jesus Christ going about doing good as He did, setting the captives free, healing the sick and doing the greater works that He promised we would do! No denominational lines or barriers just disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ fulfilling their destiny and His will for the kingdom of God on earth! AMEN!
Till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect (complete new) man to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:13
