The Way of Life: Part XLVI

"When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one (Satan) comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the one who received seed by the wayside." Matthew13:19

When one is planting a garden the condition of the soil is very important. When one is sowing the word of God, the condition of the heart is also very important! Our heart is where the seed of God's word is planted that it may bear fruit!

The parable is explaining the conditions of the soil and the people who are receiving the seed of the word. The wayside is the place outside the crop, a hard surface or road but in the Spirit these are those who hear but do not understand and Satan steals the word out of their heart. The one who receives the word on stony places is he who has no root in himself and endures for a while but when hard times, tribulation and persecution arise immediately he stumbles.

He who receives the word among the thorns is he who hears but the worries of the world, the deceitfulness of riches and cares of life choke the word out of his heart! So, what kind of soil do you have, is your heart soft and pliable or hard as rock? In order to receive and bear fruit for God your heart must be prepared, plowed and receive the rain of the Holy Spirit for one to truly bear the fruit of the Spirit.

"But he who received seed on good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces, some a hundredfold, some sixty and some thirty." Matthew 13:23

Your servant in Christ, Timothy Laughlin
Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Tim Laughlin has been involved in full time ministry for over thirty-five years. Set free from a $2000.00 a week cocaine addiction and fifteen years of alcoholism, Tim gave his life to Jesus in 1980 and was immediately delivered. Trained in the streets, led only by the Holy Spirit, Tim prayed for drug addicts, prostitutes and anyone else that wanted to be free from the strongholds of sin. With a burning desire to see people saved and healed Tim founded and directed several Christian residential programs such as Manna Ministries, one of the largest and most successful women's ministries in the Southwest. Apostle to the ''NO-BODY'S'' of this world, Tim has been involved in virtually every facet of ministry, from prison, ex offenders, UN-wed mothers, addicts, Gays and those that nobody wants. Without formal training and only a love for people Tim has seen hundreds set free, healed, delivered and raised from the dead by God's powerful anointing available to everyone that asks Him. Through many trials and fires in his own life Tim has learned to trust in the Lord for all of his needs and to rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance in every circumstance. His vision is for the Body of Christ to become the powerful army of disciples that God intended them to be, trained for battle and loving people from all walks of life. Tim's wife, Mary Ann works along side him ministering and training those that come for help. Deemed hopeless from extended drug abuse and surviving five mental institutions, Mary Ann was set free and healed miraculously and restored to a beautiful woman of God. Tim and Mary Ann are available to speak to your church or organization. Personal counseling and individual training are available upon request. Drug and alcohol addiction therapy is also available for adults and teens through support groups and referrals. For more information please contact us. ***Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies."   Psalms 103: 2-4***
