Worship and Warfare, Part VII
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight." Luke 10:21
Jesus had sent His disciples out in pairs to preach the gospel and to heal the sick and cast out demons in His name. They returned rejoicing that even the demons were in subjection to them and He also rejoiced in the Holy Spirit but admonished them not to rejoice in the fact that the demons were subject to them, but to rejoice that their names were recorded in Heaven!
There is great joy in warfare when we see the mighty hand of God move on our behalf with signs, wonders and miracles that produces true and pure worship of the Most High. Today for the most part, the church only experiences praise and worship geared toward them and not God, meant to entertain them and not to exalt the Lord for His mighty works, because there hasn't been any, only cheap talk and not action from a congregation of spectators.
We as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ have been given all power and authority over the powers of darkness, the ability to heal the sick and to know the very mysteries of the kingdom of God and the promise that nothing would harm us. If we would only move out in our areas of influence and minister to those in need we would see these great signs performed before our very eyes because it has been given to us by the Lord Himself!
Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see; "for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it." Luke 10:23,24
