Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?, Part III
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Mose's law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, and has counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common [ unholy ] thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said,'' Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,'' says the Lord. And again,'' The Lord will judge His people.'' It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.  Hebrews 10; 26-31
Willful disobedience can open many doors for the enemies of God to rob, kill and destroy His people. The devil is always looking for an inroad to gain access into your life and sinning willfully will give him that access.
When we sin willfully knowing that the precious blood of Jesus has cleansed us, we enter a very dangerous place and the result can be catastrophic. If you were in a protective cage surrounded by hungry lions, you wouldn't open the door and say, come get me!
Sin separates us from God and gives the devil an open door to our lives. Being washed by the blood of Jesus gives us great responsibility to keep ourselves pure and clean for Him who laid down His life for us.
In the garden, Adam received a command from God not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the consequence being death. Adam was responsible to convey the command to his wife, Eve ,thus obeying the law of God together. Evidently Eve was not sure of what God said, because when the temptation came from Satan, instead of standing on the word of God, she fell into sin, thus bringing judgment on both she and her husband.
The sin of Adam and Eve opened the door for the curse of death to enter creation for the first time. They both died spiritually and consequently brought death and the curse to all of mankind. Sin always carries with it severe consequences, like ripples in a pond they go out and effect the lives of many. In this case the entire human race felt the repercussions of Adam's sin.
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned. Romans 5: 12
Sin separates us from God and His blessings, the bible says our sins have hidden His face from us. The good news is that Jesus paid the ultimate price to rid the world of sin and set mankind free from the curse of death. If you have UN- confessed sin in your life or you have unforgiveness in your heart against someone ask God to forgive you and wash you in His cleansing blood. Close the doors of your life that have been opened through willful disobedience and then command the powers of darkness out of your life and the lives of your family members.
Seek the Lord in prayer and fellowship and ask Him to restore what the devil has stolen from you. You will be amazed at how your life will change once you have been cleansed and the enemy has fled from the presence of God in your life.
Therefore, as through one man's of fence judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation , even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. Romans 5:18
