UNDER WHAT SHADOW DO YOU WALK?

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

The Lord spoke to me the other day about the shadow of life and death, He said we walk through the shadow of death, He didn't say, lie down in the valley, He said, walk through it, the keyword being through!

The shadow of death blots out the light of our hope and confident expectation that gives us the strength to carry on. I just walked through this valley of darkness, having been diagnosed with cancer. Before anything was done but prayer, my future, and hope were gone, not knowing what the outcome was to be. This is a very dark and foreboding place to be, not knowing if you are going to live or die!

A very harrowing situation traversing the valley's many obstacles and detours with demons speaking to your mind all the way, trying to discourage and ultimately convince you that your life is over. In order for one to make it through, he must trust in the protection of the Most High, under whose shadow we dwell!

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

ABIDING UNDER THE SHADOW OF GOD

I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust." Psalm 91:2

When I was just a small lad walking with my father who was a big man, over six feet, I never feared for my life, from danger or lack of anything, because I totally trusted him. So it is trusting our heavenly Father, He is our protection and our very present help in times of trouble!

Many are walking through the valley with sicknesses of all kinds, financial distress and relational problems with kids and spouses, but God is with us through it all, in the valley or out, He is our Shield and Protector! He is our "Hiding Place!" An impenetrable fortress that withstands the onslaught of our enemies.

As it states in John 15, we are to abide, live, dwell and remain in the Vine of Christ and whatever comes our way will be vanquished and our life will be protected by our Source, the Lord Jesus Christ. So fear not to put all of your trust in Him who is more than able to provide all of your needs, even to eternal life!

He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings, you shall take refuge. Psalm 91:4
