Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. "Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?" John 8:3-5

I guess like the apostle Paul, because I was a chief sinner myself, I have compassion on those who have sinned. From the time I was saved and spent time in the local Baptist church, I found it much more enjoyable hanging out with sinners than listening to the church folks blasting those who were not in "Their church!"

The other day on Christian radio I heard two preachers saying how awful it was at the beach seeing all those scantily clad girls in bikini's and that moved me to write this message. Years ago I heard a missionary who was sharing his testimony of going into the jungle in South America to a group of un-reached Indians who had never experienced the white man.As they approached the village they were met by the Chief who was buck-naked along with the rest of his delegation and told the missionaries they would have to take off all of their clothes to enter the village.

They probably thought to themselves like the Pharisees, "Lord, what do you say?" Embarrassed but obedient, they stripped down and ended up winning the village to Jesus! We have to be open to become like the sinner, but without sin to win them over like Paul said of his ministry or he would never have won over the Gentiles.

For though I am free from all men, I have made my myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who were under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law that I might win those who are without law; to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. I Corinthians 9:19-22

"Rise, Peter, kill and eat." But Peter said, "Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean." And a voice spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call unclean." Acts 10:13-15

A Gentile named Cornelius, a Roman centurion, a devout man who feared God and who was generous in giving alms was given a vision to send for Simon Peter to come and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to him and his family.

Problem being, as it is many times today, our religious affiliations, cultural differences and legalistic views keep us from seeing the poor lost sinner saved! In order to save this Gentile family, God had to give Peter a vision of unclean animals, telling him to eat of that which He had cleansed. In essence, Peter had to strip down and take off his religious garb in order to preach to Cornelius just as the missionaries had to do to reach the Indians in the jungles of South America.

Peter obeyed God and came to Cornelius and preached the gospel to he and his people and the results were miraculous as the Holy Spirit was poured out on them all and they spoke in tongues and praised God! Our obedience to go to the sinner, no matter who they are will always render good fruit in our labor, providing for us a harvest of souls!

And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. Acts 10:45

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:15,16

As ambassadors of the kingdom, our message is to love, our mission is to tell and our mandate is to go into all the world and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world of sinners!

No one has the right to throw rocks at sinners, no matter who or what degree of sin they are in, as if there is a measurement of sin because all have sinned and have fallen short of His glory! The wages of sin today are the same as ever and even the minimum wage of sin, if not repented of will take you to Hell!

In my 39 year journey with Jesus I have ministered in the streets, to prostitutes, gays, drag queens, transgenders, drug addicts, hopeless alcoholics, rich folks and poor alike, all lost sinners, many of whom were rejected by the local churches, but Jesus didn't reject them! He said to preach the life changing gospel to the poor of this world, no matter who they are and He would transform them into new creation saints, so, drop your rocks and Go!

Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way, will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. James 5:19,20
