"Judge not, that you be not judged. "For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you." Matthew 7:1,2

This scripture has been taken out of context so many times by people who do not understand its true meaning and how it is to be used. The word judge in this scripture is the Greek word, krino which means to separate, distinguish, come to choice, either positive in favor of, or negative that condemns.

Most believers don't know that we are called to judge that which is in our fellowships and those who teach, preach, and prophesy. For instance when you go to the grocery store in the produce section you will find much judging. People thumping, squeezing, smelling and maybe if no one is looking, tasting. Why? Because people want to know that what they are getting is good and not spoiled or rotten, so it is in the true church of Jesus Christ, we must judge what is given to us, whether it is good or bad!

Because people have made blanket statements saying, "Thou shalt not judge!" we have backed off of truly judging what is going on in the church and it becomes full of sin, immorality, false teaching and polluted with tradition and doctrines of demons!

"He who believes in Him (Jesus) is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned (judged) already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. "And this is the condemnation (judgment), that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:18,19

"For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." John 3:20

The apostle Paul came to the church at Corinth and rebuked them for not removing a man who was having sex with his step mother and the whole congregation knew about it. Now I can hear the devil already saying, "Thou shalt not judge!" but we are to judge because willful sin in the congregation will pollute the whole body.

When a person has gangrene or blood poisoning in a limb it has to be amputated less the whole body be destroyed, so it is in Christ's body, sin must be removed. Paul told the congregation that they were arrogant to not have removed this man and said to them that as he was absent in body but present in spirit that he had already judged this man and he delivered the man to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord!

Another thing believers are to judge is what they are being taught, whether it is false or true and because this has not been done thousands of sects and cults have developed deceiving millions. Jesus warned us that there would be many false prophets in the last days and so there are and the apostle Paul also exhorted prophets to be subject to one another and judge what was being prophesied in order to insure clarity in what was being said so that the body wouldn't be led astray.

Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven (sin) leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you are unleavened. For indeed Christ our Passover was sacrificed for us. I Corinthians 5:6.7

For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? (the world) Do you not judge those who are inside?(the church) But those outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person." I Corinthians 5:12,13

The church is the pure and holy bride of the Lord Jesus Christ, without spot or wrinkle, free from sin and rebellion, she lives to serve in humility and strength in the power of Holy Spirit's anointing.

In order for her to remain pure in doctrine and in moral conduct she must be judged by the congregation being honest and transparent with one another, judging those in sin and immorality and removing those who pervert the Word and prophesy falsely. The church is the pillar and support of the truth, but if the truth is maligned the whole body is corrupted!

We are living in the last days where truth is almost non-existent and false prophets, teachers and self-help gurus abound in the church and in the world, polluting God's holy word and infiltrating the fellowship of the Lord! We are the holy temple of the Lord, never meant for unbelievers to be in our assemblies, they bring their tradition, sin, rebellion and unbelief, grieving the Holy Spirit and filling the church with devils. Would you invite the neighbors into your bedroom when you are making love to your wife?

Do you not know that the saints (us) will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more things that pertain to this life? I Corinthians 6:2,3
