There Is A River, Part V

And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:1,2

You have heard the old expression, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." I would think everyone would rush upon this living water and drink of its healing properties, but in my journey with Jesus I have met few people who were students of the word of God. They will run to hear some preacher or listen to countless hours of teaching but to go before the very throne of the Most High to receive a drink for themselves seems to be almost non-existent!

Back in the fifties and even before it was fashionable to go to places that had hot springs of mineral water for the healing of the body and the soul such as Mineral Wells, Texas and Hot Springs, Arkansas. People from all over came to be healed of their ills and replenish their strength in an oasis of healing water. Although there are still some of these places around not many people take the time to go, they are simply too busy to rejuvenate and that is something the body of Christ has neglected, going to the wells of living water making them a dry and dusty desert of religious tombs.

The world is becoming a scary place as the powers of darkness swarm through the heavens wreaking havoc wherever they choose, with catastrophic weather events and natural disasters the earth is reeling from there effects, not to mention the wars of terror being spread by a murdering band of devils! The only hope for this planet this side of the return of Christ is for His body to arise and shake off the chains of religion and division and come before the throne of God and drink from the river of life to be healed, strengthened and sent into battle!

How precious is you lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house. And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. Psalm 36:7-9
