However we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. I Corinthians 2:6-8
The world knows nothing of the wisdom of God and is not capable of receiving it because it is spiritually appraised, in other words the Holy Spirit is the One who distributes it to those who are seeking to know the perfect will of God. In the world, knowledge is abundant, even prophesied that in the last days it would increase, and so it has, making man boastful and arrogant in his endeavors to be like God.
Man's ultimate fleshly goal is to be like God, after all we have some of His divine attributes inherited from the Creation and display them throughout the world through inventions, medicine, science and the like, trying to mimic the Most High, a feeble attempt at best. Only those who are born again can see and know the divine wisdom of the Father given by revelation by His Spirit to those who diligently seek Him. If man had known the will of God and the redemption of their own souls as the scripture states they would never have put Jesus to death, their only hope of escape from eternal damnation.
God's wisdom is stored up for those who are worthy of His love through the death, burial and resurrection of His Son, Jesus who gave His life for us to inherit salvation, but to the natural mind it makes no sense, so they strive to enter into life on their own merit, apart from the grace of God, given freely to those who believe. Millions miss the abundant treasure of God because of their own worldly point of view, not being able to see past their nose, the things God has freely given to them!
"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." I Corinthians 2:9
