The Wisdom Of God, Part IX
My son, keep My words and treasure My commands within you. Keep My commands and live, and My law as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, "You are my sister," and call understanding your nearest kin, that they may keep you from the immoral woman, from the seductress who flatters with her words. Proverbs 7:1-5
The divine wisdom of God obtained through His word and revelation from His Spirit protects us from the seduction of the world and its lusts and pleasures. Within this proverb is the story of a young man who was devoid of understanding as many young men are today, being arrogant and led by the lusts of the flesh and not the leading of God's Spirit.
The immoral woman that is seducing the young man can represent many things that draw away men and women from devotion to the Lord. Even what is called church today can seduce you to worship that which is of the world that appeases the flesh and does not feed the Spirit. You cannot serve God or be a disciple by going somewhere for an hour a week and the rest of the time live for yourself. The world has invaded the true church of the living God, defiling it with the trappings of health, wealth and prosperity that have deluded the minds of believers to follow that which is false!
The young man in this story fell prey to something that was deep in his heart, perhaps a stronghold of lust not dealt with that ultimately cost him his life and sent him to Hell! We are entering dangerous times as we approach the end of all things with the trumpets blaring and warnings that Jesus is about to return, we must set our eyes on eternal things and not the things of the world!
Now therefore, listen to Me, My children: pay attention to the words of My mouth: do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, do not stray into her paths; for she has cast down many wounded, and all who were slain by her were strong men. Her house is the way to Hell, descending to the chambers of death. Proverbs 7:24-27
