The Trust Factor, Part IV
Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:3,4
Trust, do good and dwell in the land of God, that place where you are in His perfect will, the land of God is where He has placed you to fulfill His purpose and your destiny. When you are not dwelling in His land you are dwelling in your own, that place where you are in control of your own life and it can be a very desolate place indeed.
To feed on God's faithfulness is to be strengthened by seeing your prayers answered as if you were ingesting spiritual food. God is trustworthy to take care of our every need and He will build that trust over time as you stretch out your faith, take Him at His word and believe. It takes time to trust anyone, to see if what they say or do is trustworthy or not and so it is with God, but over time He will more than prove His faithfulness to you as He stands behind His word.
Jesus was our forerunner being tempted in the wilderness by the devil to turn a stone into bread and He said to him, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." When we truly surrender our lives under the control of Holy Spirit and learn to feed on the word of God, He will then give us the desires of our heart, which are in fact His desires, becoming part of our inherited divine nature and character.
Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Psalm 37:5,6
