The To Be And Not To Be Attitudes, Part X
"Blessed are you when they revile you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake." Matthew 5:11
The time is coming and now is when being called a Christian won't be fashionable any longer, but instead will bring about persecution and degradation upon those who are truly believers. In America the winds of change, political correctness and the spirit of anti-Christ that produces spiritual blindness will totally change the way in which we as believers worship the Lord Jesus Christ, possibly even driving us underground!
The true church of Jesus thrives around the world under the domination of Communism, evil dictators and the darkness of the third world countries where demons are openly worshiped. In reality the church seems to do better under harsh circumstances and tribulation than it does in the west where it is comfortable which ultimately brings with it, complacency. The first church in Jerusalem filled with Holy Spirit power and the love of God multiplied into the thousands before persecution drove them out into surrounding countries and eventually into all the world with the gospel of the kingdom!
As we as believers enter into these end of days it will become most important to focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and to build a solid relationship of trust with Him, relying totally on His leading. The world may collapse around us who believe, but for those who have built on the solid rock of trust and the revelation of the Christ will come peace and provision in the face of tribulation!
"Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in Heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven." Matthew 5:12-16
