The Temple of God, Part II
THE BLUEPRINT OF THE TEMPLE OF GOD

"Son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern. Ezekiel 43:10

When one builds a house he must first have a blueprint to go by in order to have a well built and precise building. Even from ancient times men have followed patterns and blueprints resulting in the construction of some pretty impressive buildings.

Some of the most miraculous construction projects ever built were recorded in the bible: Noah's ark, the tabernacle in the wilderness, the ark of the covenant and the magnificent temple of Solomon, all built to God's specific and precise instruction. Failure to build according to plan meant certain death.

Take the ark of the covenant for instance, it not only had a specific design given from God Himself, but it also had implicit instructions of how to carry it from one place to another. As king David found out as he attempted to move the ark into Jerusalem, he put it on a common oxcart and ignored God's instruction for it to be carried on the shoulders of the priesthood. The result ended up killing the high priest's son Uzzah for trying to help God out when the oxen stumbled.

The temple of God is no different, in Solomon's day it had to be built to exact specifications for God to come and reside there, so it is today, a specific pattern has been given to us in the New Testament, but we have totally ignored it. In modern times to build a church all you have to do is rent or build a building, fill it with chairs, hire a pastor, put a sign in the yard and they will show up. They will, but He won't, and obviously hasn't in hundreds of years of disobedience to His word.

Jesus Christ is the pattern for the church, His body, and the very expression of Himself in the earth. Unless we build according to His plan it will be just another "Christian social club" full of big talk and no power. To the world it may look very successful with it's large congregations and endless programs but in God's eyes it will only be as a dead dog lying on the side of the road that as time passes will swell and grow, but will only be a dead dog.

This must be upsetting to some, but it is more upsetting to God to see His glorious church made a mockery to the world because it has no power and it is not equipped to do anything. Call one sometime and ask them for help with finances, or to cast out a demon or to heal your sick and see what most of them say, I'm sorry, we just don't do those things.

"Because they have forsaken Me and made this an alien place, because they have burned incense to other gods whom neither they, their fathers, nor the kings of Judah have known, and they have filled this place with the blood of the innocents."
                                                                         Jeremiah 19: 4

Wanting to be successful and look pleasing to the world so they can attract more "seekers" the church in America has compromised everything in the gospel of Jesus Christ for the sake of success. The blood of the innocents that Jeremiah spoke of are the countless souls that have faced a fiery eternity because they joined up but didn't get saved from their sins nor did they repent  so that they could receive eternal life.

What a sad commentary to become a church member and lose your soul because you were lied to about eternal life. The gospel was watered down to make it easy for everyone to enter, after all we wouldn't want to offend anyone, would we? Well there will be millions offended because they joined the club, but didn't meet the savior of their souls, nor were they told the truth about their sins.
The blood of the innocents will be on their hands if the so-called church in America doesn't repent of this ridiculous mess they have created, and called it church.

"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." Acts 3: 19
