The Rapture Of The Righteous And The Rupture Of The Wicked!
"The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness, "and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear let him hear!" Matthew 13:41-43
For the past few hundred years the doctrine of the "Rapture" of the church, the catching away of the saints has become very popular with the modern day believer. The apostle Paul speaks of it and depending on the correct time line it is mentioned in Revelation but no one seems to know exactly how or when it will happen.
Pre-trib, mid-trib or post-trib, who knows! The late gospel singer, Keith Green once said, "Pray for pre, but prepare for post!" The fact of the matter is this: it really doesn't make any difference when He comes, the important thing is that you are ready for Him! The Bible speaks of a catching away, but it also speaks of a casting away in reference to the wicked. Jesus said that the tares would be bound and cast into the fire and the righteous would be gathered into into His barn, meaning Heaven.
The most important thing that a believer can do is establish a solid relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, showing himself approved by becoming a student of His word and a warrior in prayer. The end times and the prophetic message is exiting and will come to pass but the Bible also speaks of being ready for His return, it speaks of us being a bride adorned for the return of her husband Jesus!
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, but My Father only." Matthew 24:36
"He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. "The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. "The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. "Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age." Matthew 13:37-40
Jesus explained the parable of the sower to His disciples and told them of the gathering of the wheat or righteous into His barn but the tares, the sons of the devil would be gathered and burned in the fire. A tare is an exact replica of a blade of wheat with the exception that when the wheat bears the fruit of the grain, the tare remains a weed with no fruit.
So it is today, there are millions that profess Christianity but few have given their lives to follow Him. Many have prayed prayers, joined churches, been baptized, even done good works, but they don't know Jesus as their Lord. These are the sons of the wicked one and they are found in every field in the world of religion. The rupture of the wicked will come first as the angels gather them out of God's kingdom and cast them into the fire to be burned.
The harvest has begun and the trumpet is sounding around the world to prepare the kingdom to receive it's sons and the reapers are about to gather the tares for the greatest bonfire in history. To know Jesus is the most important thing one can do to preserve his soul for eternal life, not just knowing who He is but to know Him in an intimate relationship allowing Him access into your very heart and life!
"So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 13:49,50
Behold I tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. I Corinthians 15:51,52
The word of the Lord says that at the sounding of the "Last Trumpet," the seventh, we shall all be changed and the dead shall be raised incorruptible. Throughout the sounding of the seven trumpets hell is breaking out upon the earth and it looks as though the church of the Lord Jesus Christ will have to ride out the storm!
In these last days as we await the coming of the King of all Kings, what sort of people should we be and what should we be doing as His body? The earth is in a great upheaval and the nations of the world are being turned upside down before our very eyes and the people are lost and wandering to and fro looking for that which is missing in their heart-Jesus!
We as His body have been entrusted with the good news of His gospel, the very truth that contains the way of life and we are all called to proclaim it in our circles of influence. There are people around us where we work, where we play and even where we go to church that are ripe for the good news of salvation. You are that vessel that God has chosen to convey the message of life. So what are you waiting for, another sermon or Sunday school lesson? "Go" and make disciples!
But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition (destruction) of ungodly men. But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. II Peter 3:7-9
