THE NAMES OF GOD
John the baptist saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" John 1:29
Jesus is the Lamb of God, the sacrifice for our sins and iniquities, without which we would suffer eternal damnation. Not only are all of our sins forgiven, past present and future, they are forgotten, never to be brought up again!
Not so with man, he remembers our transgressions, faults and trespasses and with the help of the devil brings them back up to condemn and accuse us. If one is born again, he is the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, washed in the blood of a pure and holy sacrifice, given freely by our heavenly Father, no longer to suffer condemnation.
To whom the Son sets free is free indeed! We are no longer children of wrath, but sons and daughters of the Most High, adopted and seated in heavenly places as joint heirs of the King of all kings. The Lamb was slain to give us a perfect and complete salvation allowing us entrance into the realms of Heaven forever.
Then I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, "Now salvation and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God, day and night has been cast down. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and they did not love their lives to the death." Revelation 12:10,11
