The Kingdom Within, Part I
"The kingdom of God does not come with observation; "nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 20,21
The kingdom of God is not something to behold as if man could establish it. The kingdom is the very DNA of God contained in His word and encapsulated within the tiniest of seed. Once planted in the heart of man it begins to manifest into an organically grown garden of new creations.
Jesus came to earth in a seed supernaturally sown into a human being, without the aid of a natural father. Mary the mother of Jesus was implanted with divine DNA delivered by the Holy Spirit into her womb to become the King of the kingdom of His Father. Sent to earth to plant a vineyard of new creations that would become a race of priests and kings to rule and reign in the Spirit.
Jesus chose twelve men to form the divine government of God in the earth. For three years He planted seed in their hearts and all but one became pillars in the future church of the living God. Sown with the seed of the word of God the kingdom was firmly planted in the hearts of the disciples ready to be released into the world in an explosive harvest of souls.
"To you it has been granted to know the mystery of the kingdom of God." Mark 4:11
THE MYSTERY OF THE SEED
"But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. Therefore hear the parable of the sower." Matthew 13:16-18
Jesus explains the mystery of the seed in the parable of the sower and illustrates the planting of the kingdom of God in the hearts of men. For centuries men have tried to establish God's kingdom with fleshly efforts and have strived to reach Heaven in their own strength. Like the building of the tower of Babel it only brought confusion and division.
The parable of the sower describes the condition of men's hearts in order for them to recieve the heavenly seed that will ultimately make them new creations in Christ. Within the seed is the very nature and character of God that enters the heart and begins to take root in the fertile ground of the soul of man. Without seed there is no new birth, no spiritual man, like the natural function of the human being, there can be no physical birth with out the sowing of seed!
It is an interesting fact that with all that Jesus did and accomplished in His earthly mission, He left no buildings, no monuments and no programs and all that remains of His work is the sowing of His word in the hearts of those who would recieve it.
"But he who recieved seed on good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty." Matthew 13:23
THE PLANTING OF THE LORD
"That they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord that He may be glorified." Isaiah 61:3
In the beginning God created seed that would reproduce after its own kind, in other words apple seed produces apples, peach seeds, peaches and so on. All organic life originates with seed and spiritual life is no different, it begins with the seed of the word of God.
Jesus was sown as the first spiritual seed that would produce a vineyard of spiritual beings. He was the firstfruits to be planted in the earth and became the living vine that all new creations originate from. The entire body of Christ was grown organically from the first sprout planted with heavenly seed and continues to grow with a growth that only God can produce.
But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have died. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. I Corinthians 15:20-22
Jesus came to create an organically grown race of worshippers, born again by His Spirit, washed in His blood and filled with the very power of God. None of these things can be obtained by the works of the flesh, only by believing can one be transformed into a spiritual being.
For centuries man has tried to duplicate the effects of the new birth by the works of the flesh and the rituals of the law until he has created a lifeless shell of man-made religion that has no power to change a person's heart. Millions have joined up, been baptized, signed a card, prayed a prayer, taken communion and have perished without Christ, only to spend eternity in hell!
Jesus said, "Unless one is born again, he cannot see nor can he enter the kingdom of God." In other words man cannot become a spiritual being but by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit that produces the new creation. The gospel of Christ is simple and in many cases too simple for man to believe and recieve, but it is the only path to eternal life.
The first man was of the earth, made of dust: the second Man is the Lord from Heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. And as we have born the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man. I Corinthians 15:47-49
