The Immaculate Deception

I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert (distort) the gospel of Christ. Galatians 1:6,7

In the past weeks America was visited by the Pope, thought to be the apostolic successor of the apostle Peter and the leader of one of the world's largest denominations, boasting 1.25 billion. Although it looks holy and good with all of its rituals and religious traditions passed down through the centuries, is it of God? Can a church that advocates families be led by men and women who have abstained from marriage?

Hundreds of thousands flocked to see the "Holy Father" parade through Cuba, then Washington and then on to Philadelphia, kissing babies, laying hands on anyone he approached and preaching the gospel of global warming. From the poor to the famous, rock stars, movie stars and the like all wanting to meet this holy man of God, but is he from God? Everyone, even the liberal media were oohing and ahhing over every word spoken by this seemingly humble man, but is this the true church of the Lord Jesus Christ and is he preaching the true and un-compromised gospel of our salvation?

A counterfeit is something that is supposed to resemble the original, a carbon copy, although every counterfeit has flaws and we will look at some of those flaws in this very important message. So, why knock the Catholic church, they do such good works, they are Pro-life and help people around the world and they proclaim to be a Christian denomination? The reason is the souls of billions are at stake having been deceived by a perverse and false gospel preached to an unsuspecting flock that will descend into Hell having been lied to by false apostles of Christ!

But even we, or an angel of heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8,9

For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you may well put up with it! II Corinthians 11:4

The Catholic mass believed by millions to be communion is in actuality an abomination to God. The actual mass is a term called "Transubstantiation" which means that the priest is empowered to supernaturally change the Eucharist (wafer) into the actual body of the Lord Jesus Christ, not a symbol, but into the person of Christ. The wine also is changed into the actual blood of Christ thereby giving the recipients the ability to eat the flesh and drink the blood of the Lord Jesus.

Within this supposed transformation Jesus is brought down to be sacrificed again and again, thereby allowing one to be forgiven of his sins. This also is an abomination because Christ died once for the sins of many and offered Himself once for a perfect sacrifice being the mediator of a new covenant. The evangelical communion that we partake of is meant to be a reminder of what Christ did for us on the cross and the bread and wine is only symbolic of His flesh and blood and not able to forgive sin.

Throughout history Satan has tried to deceive God's people by erecting false religions and Catholicism is no different, being copied from the Old Testament priesthood, complete with temples and many artifacts taken from ancient Israel in an attempt to make it look more legitimate. The wearing of robes, the swinging of incense, speaking in Latin and the other sacramental ornaments are all made to make this false religion seem real!

For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with the blood of another. He then would have to had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. Hebrews 9:24-28

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:1

Baptism in the Catholic church is not the same as the apostle Paul spoke of in the book of Romans, because to the Catholic, baptism washes away sin, saves them and makes them members of the church. Even children with no knowledge of sin or understanding of what baptism is are baptized (sprinkled) and are cleansed from their sins.

In the true evangelical church of the Lord Jesus Christ baptism is our burial with Christ having died to the world and its lusts and being resurrected into the kingdom of God. We are crucified with Christ, meaning that we also died to sin and that we should no longer be slaves to it. Baptism doesn't save us but it does deliver us from the bonds of sin and the world, making us free to walk as He walked in newness of life. It is important that we know and understand what God has truly given us as sons and daughters of His kingdom and that we walk in truth and not in deception.

Now the question will arise, are Catholics Christians and is it possible for one to be saved within the Catholic religion? The answer is no, according to their doctrine on salvation they are supposedly saved by works and not by faith, so they cannot be saved by this teaching being contrary to the word of God. The answer to the second part of the question, can someone be saved within Catholicism and the answer is yes, Martin Luther came under conviction by the Holy Spirit, repented and was born again and ended up founding the Lutheran church.

Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Romans 6:9,10

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:18

Mary, although as pure a vessel as could be found was in fact a sinner and technically the mother of God, but in reality an average human mother. Because Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit He did not receive the ancestral curse of the sins of His forefathers as we have, but was born without the inherited sin of Adam.

Another fallacy that Mary was the mediator between us and Jesus is another doctrine of demons because Jesus is the only mediator in which we come before the Father as spoken of in the scripture in John 14:6. For Mary to be elevated to a position of authority and power being able to go before God by people praying to her is also an abomination as well as praying to the "Saints," a practice that holds no validity.

After the birth of Jesus Mary had to offer a sin offering (Luke 2:22-24) because of her uncleanness as was customary for women after giving birth according to the law in Leviticus 12:2. Mary also had other children as stated in scripture and was a normal house wife although people have set her on a pedestal, elevating her as a deity. The Catholic church is full of abominable practices, but before you start judging and throwing rocks, the evangelical church has just as many pagan rituals and religious traditions. We as believers need to pray for Catholics and for the true church of the Lord Jesus Christ as well because the days are evil and there is great need for the true gospel to be preached, to Catholics as well as evangelicals!

Now the Spirit explicitly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. I Timothy 4:1-3
