"For with God nothing will be impossible." Luke 1:37
We live in the midst of troubling times, financial woes, catastrophic illnesses, war and the ongoing threat of terror are on every side. It looks as though the whole earth will spin out of control at any moment with no hope of recovery except for this one fact, there is a God of impossible situations.
There is no question that we are living in the last days and the devil is certainly turning up the heat on believers. Many are in a state of hopelessness and despair as they cry out for mercy and relief from their circumstances. I have experienced more impossible situations and trials in my own life as never before and at times was tempted to throw in the towel, but God intervened and made the impossible, possible!
Jesus came upon a widow with His disciples and she was on her way to the cemetery with her dead son and a large crowd was following her. Nothing is more final than death, and the death of a husband and a son meant that this widow was about to become a beggar, with no livelihood. In those days if your spouse died, the responsibility for providing for the family fell upon the son, but if the son died and there was no other relatives to care for the widow she would end up begging in the streets.
Most people would have viewed this situation with pity and would have just moved on and felt sorry for the woman, but not Jesus, when He saw her, He said to her, "Do not weep." Then He touched the open coffin and He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise." Immediately the young man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus presented him to his mother and great fear fell upon them all.
The report of this event went out like wild fire and the disciples of John the Baptist reported to him what they had heard and seen and John said to them. "Ask Him if he is the coming One, or do we look for another?" Jesus responded, "Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them, and blessed is he who is not offended because of Me. Luke 7:22,23
Jesus is alive and well and still meeting the needs of the poor and needy, whatever their affliction or disease He is willing to heal, deliver and make all things possible to those that believe. He told His disciples that if they had the faith of a tiny mustard seed that they could move mountains and virtually nothing would be impossible to them. You can believe for the impossible to become possible by putting your trust totally in the Savior's capable and compassionate hands. He loves us and is ready and willing to meet our need. When He died on the cross His blood was shed to give us an abundant life of healing, deliverance and provision.
If you are in need of a miracle and need an impossible situation turned into a blessing then turn your heart toward the Lord Jesus Christ and dare to take Him at His word and believe! Confess your sins and forgive those that have hurt you and receive the Savior's love and be restored and healed. Remember He died for you and He cares about every aspect of your being and every circumstance that you are going through. Repent of your transgressions and give your heart to Him and become a born again disciple of the Lord Jesus. You will never be the same!
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; Who forgives all of your iniquities, Who heals all of your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. Psalms 103:2-5
