THE CREATIVE POWER OF PRAYER

Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. Luke 11:2

The disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray and He said to them when you pray, say, the Lord's prayer which He quoted to them. Within this prayer, although many just recite it without any understanding of what they are saying, are the keys to entering the throne of God and obtaining our basic needs.

When we begin our prayer we acknowledge God's name as holy and revered above all other names as the Most High, remembering we are entering the very throne room where the presence of His Spirit permeates the atmosphere. Our prayer involves relationship and not ritual as we ascend into our Father's residence to ask for our petition to be heard.

As the Psalm states, we enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise and worship, for He is worthy of our adoration as we approach the highest throne and court of the entire universe! Let that sink in as you meditate on what it means to come before the most powerful entity in all creation!

Enter into His His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name, for He is good; and His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:4,5
