THE CREATIVE POWER OF PRAYER

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man (or woman) avails much. James 5:16

In order to see your prayers answered you must employ certain steps as did the apostles, Peter, Paul, the disciples and even our Teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ. As the scripture states: fervent prayer avails much and fervent means, hot glowing prayer marked by great intensity of feeling.

In the garden of Gethsemane Jesus prayed with such fervor that He sweat blood, a medical condition caused by deep emotional stress! The result of His supplication was the angels coming to minister to Him in His time of need. Our connection with the Father through faith, hope and love is also a factor in our prayer life, our devotion and love for Him and our confident expectation that He hears us!

Target practice is practicing hitting the target and prayer is also practicing to receive that which we are praying for, being consistent in our petition and not wavering in our faith. When you are trying to hit the target with your weapon you don't point it up in the air and close your eyes and fire, no, you take precise aim and hit the desired bulls-eye!

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened. "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Matthew 7:7,8

Your servant in Christ, Timothy Laughlin
