THE CREATIVE POWER OF PRAYER
Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. James 5:17
Elijah was one of the most powerful men of prayer in the scripture and yet he was a man just like us, a human being with a nature just like you and me! We often think these heroes of faith were somehow supernatural beings who were elevated far above us all, but they were just ordinary folks who dared to take God at His word!
To prove my point, Elijah challenged the false prophets of Baal and Jezebel and prayed fire down from Heaven, but shortly after God found him hiding in a cave in fear for his life. From Elijah, Elisha, David, Moses, Joshua all the way to the New Testament saints, ordinary men and women prayed in the Creative Power of God and saw great and mighty signs, wonders and miracles of answered prayer.
We have been given the Holy Spirit, who is our Helper and direct line to the throne of the Most High! The opportunities of our prayers changing the world are endless and we have been given the keys to the kingdom and have been made stewards of it's mysteries! As Jesus Christ was in the world, we as His disciples are His agents of supernatural power and authority in the earth today, called to accomplish even greater works!
And Elijah prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. James 5:18
