The Christian's World View
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. I John 2:15-17
We as Christians should hold to the same world view that Jesus had and that was to look upon this world as our mission field, our purpose in life and our passion, to reap a harvest of souls and to make them disciples of the Lord. It seems though that we have lost sight of our calling and instead of being in the world and not of it, we have become just like it, with absolutely no distinction between good and evil!
The church of the Lord Jesus Christ has been commissioned to go and to do what Jesus did before them leading by example by going into the world laying down His life and healing the sick, casting out demons, raising the dead and preaching the un-compromised gospel that is able to convict the world of sin and save their souls from eternal damnation! The mission is clear, the mandate is firm and the harvest is waiting for those who would dare to obey.
Those who have been born again and washed in the blood of Jesus are anointed with the Holy Spirit and have the very same heart as the Lord Jesus for the souls of men. When Jesus began His ministry on earth, He didn't concern Himself with politics, nor did He involve Himself with trying to change the world view of a people dominated by an evil system and ruled by a cruel dictator. Jesus viewed the world as a place corrupted by sin, controlled by lust and ruled by fear, just like it is today, but many of those who have been called have turned back to the basic principals of the world instead of following the commands of Christ!
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please Him who enlisted him as a soldier. II Timothy 2:3,4
THE NEW CREATION OUTLOOK
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. II Corinthians 5:17
When one becomes a new creation in Christ, he no longer views the world in the same light as he did when he was an unbeliever. Instead of walking by sight he now walks by faith and his mind is set upon heavenly things and not earthly things. A whole new realm opens up when one comes to Christ and he begins to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh and his outlook changes from a worldly view to a heavenly one!
On earth as it is in Heaven has become a myth to the Church, they recite it with their lips but I am afraid like Jesus said, their heart doesn't really believe it. We have become so ingrained with the traditions and philosophies of the world that we have lost all hope of walking in the heavenly realm of the Spirit. From birth we are indoctrinated with the world view of capitalism, competition and compliance which in turn weakens our ability to walk in the light of Christ's power and glory, and so we turn back to the weak and elementary things of the world.
For instance in the last election the Church was in a frenzy driven by fear for their very livelihood to elect a lost man deceived by the teachings of a cult delivered to their founders by a demon! And to think that this would heal all of their woes instead of relying on the Most High God in which all of our provision comes was simply throwing faith out the window. Now for the next four years they will continue to bad-mouth the present administration for all of their problems until the next fiasco comes around and they do it all again while we continue to leave God out of the equation!
If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:1-3
A KINGDOM VIEW
Jesus appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. Mark 16:14
Jesus was accused by His own countrymen and crucified by Rome for proclaiming to be King of the Jews and His own disciples didn't believe that He had risen from the dead and so He rebuked them as they sat in unbelief and hardness of heart. What do you think He would do if He appeared to us after 2000 years of unbelief and hardness of heart? We have been commissioned with the greatest of all missions and that is to establish God's kingdom on earth!
United we stand, and divided we fall, and fall we have! We are so far away from establishing His kingdom on this earth because we have allowed men controlled by demons to push His people into little sheepfolds of unbelief divided from one another and encouraged to just sit and listen to someone elses vision. A demonically inspired plan to divide and conquer the people of God and to stop all forward motion has been successfully carried out by the devil himself! Millions sit as spectators, untrained and unconcerned for a world who desperately needs a Savior as they spiral out of control into hell.
We as believers have been given all authority over the powers of darkness as well as sickness, disease and even death itself and yet we act as though we are just old sinners, saved by grace, left here in our weakened humanity instead of a royal priesthood of ambassadors sent to conquer the enemies of God and to set up an eternal kingdom here on earth! Jesus Himself commissioned us and said, "Go!" and yet we have chosen to believe that maybe He was speaking to someone else. Where Christ was, things changed, the sick were healed, demons were cast out and the dead were raised and He told us to go and do likewise!
If you are born again you have His divine DNA coursing through your veins and a passion welling up within your heart to do the very things that He said we are to do, and that is the greater works. You have His Spirit residing inside your heart and you hear His voice speaking to your inner man to rise up, shake off the dust of man-made religion and dead works and go into a world ruled by fear and death and preach His un-compromised gospel of the kingdom. It is your destiny!
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. "And these signs will follow those who believe: in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Mark 16:15-18
