The Bride of Christ vs The Whore of Babylon

"Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready." And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Revelation 19:7,8

Throughout God's word there are numerous references distinguishing between the good and evil, the saved and un-saved, the wheat and tares as well as the Bride of Christ and the harlot or counterfeit bride: the whore of Babylon. It is important to know the difference in order to escape the coming judgment that is spoken of in the book of Revelation in regards to the harlot church!

As we look at the difference in these two spiritual women it will be of the utmost importance to discern your position within the Church of the living God or your membership in the harlot church of Babylon. Babylon speaks of a world system rather than a specific place or geographical location and as it says in Revelation 17:9 the harlot sits on seven mountains, or the seven areas of influence in the world today, which is: business, government, media, arts, education, family and religion.

There has been a very disturbing trend that has taken place in the organized denominational religions of the world and in the past fifty years some devastating changes have entered the visible so-called church, diametrically opposing any resemblance of the original Church of Jesus Christ! These changes although subtle at first are now blatantly exposed within the fellowships and assemblies of the world and are increasingly counted as Christian doctrine. The intention of this message is to warn true believers and expose the deeds of darkness so that those who have been decieved can escape the impending judgment!

So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. Revelation 17:3

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." John 17:3

The apostle Paul spoke in Philippians about knowing Jesus and that all of his worldly and religious accomplishments were as rubbish in comparison to his relationship with God. Eternal life is based on a relationship with Jesus and not a ritual of remembrance. For the past two thousand years, the traditions, rituals and doctrines of men have crept into the church replacing the need to be in love with a living Savior who gave up His life for His bride!

The 21st century consumer driven church consists of a system of rituals which include the giving of tithes to pay the clergy and overhead, baptism, communion, altar calls and the most important of all: membership! No longer equipped with a cumbersome gospel of commands and demands the modern day fellowships focus on the masses joining up instead of being born again and becoming new creations in Christ. After all taking up your cross and following Jesus is outdated and too time consuming for the new breed of so-called e-church member.

In this series of messages we will explore the differences between the true bride of Christ and the worldly harlot church system supported by the beast himself! Millions of innocent victims have entered what they thought was the true church when in fact it was just a cheap counterfeit erected by the devil to trap the unsuspecting and ultimately send them to Hell!

Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ. Philippians 3:8

I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1

When we assemble as the bride of Christ our time together is the worship, adoration and intimacy with our Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus Christ.Within this special time of fellowship is when His body can truly give themselves completely to the One they love. The gifts of His Holy Spirit are present and allowed to function as they were designed to and the freedom to contribute is welcomed as if it were in your own family.

This assembly of the righteous was never intended for unbelievers to enter or participate in worship, it is only reserved for the bride and Groom. It would be like inviting the neighborhood into your bedroom to watch you and your spouse make love, which would become very awkward, dampening quickly the mood. So it is with the saints, unbelievers have no part in our intimacy with the Lord Jesus Christ because it is reserved only for invited guests.

Today the church has spread its legs to the world inviting the rich and famous to attend their assemblies, promising Starbucks coffee, dramatic performances and lighthearted entertainment to draw them back week after enjoyable week. No more old time worship and talk of self-denial or carrying some outdated cross, no, its party down with the new breed of: if it feels good, do it modern day members. Just like going to the country club, we are fed, entertained and of course-charged for their services, but who cares, it was so good we will be sure and be back next week.

For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is their destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is their shame, who set their mind on earthly things. Philippians 3:18,19
