"You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the deliverance of the Lord, who is with you. Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you." II Chronicles 20:17

When the enemies of God, Moab and Ammon came to battle against Jehoshaphat, he cried out to the Lord and proclaimed a fast throughout all the land. Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel and he prophesied to the people, telling them that the battle was the Lord's!

It seems everyone is in a battle today, whether with sickness, financial, relational or just the enemy coming against them to rob, kill and destroy. Although we have been given all power and authority over the powers of darkness and to heal all sickness and disease, ultimately the battle is the Lord's.

As the scripture states, we are to position ourselves, stand still and see God deliver us. When we submit ourselves under His mighty hand the power of His glory will deliver us, defeat our enemies and set us free from destruction.

Thus says the Lord to you: "Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude for the battle is not yours, but God's." II Chronicles 20:15

Throughout scripture we see mighty men of God engaging their enemies, many times greatly outnumbered or in David's case, fighting a behemoth of a man named Goliath! God has always fought for His people and would often cut back their forces so that He would receive the glory!

When the children of Israel were delivered from the bondage of Egypt, led to the Red Sea by Moses they were being pursued by Pharaoh's formidable fighting force, armed to the teeth and hell-bent on Israel's destruction, it looked hopeless, but God made a way at the last hour by splitting the waters and allowing Israel to cross over on dry land, one of the greatest miracles in the history of the world.

God will also fight our battles if we will just stay out of His way because He loves us and cares for our well being. "Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord of hosts!" The word of God for us to know that the battle is the Lord's!

Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies. Psalm 108:12,13
