THE NEW COVENANT OF COMMUNION

Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget none of His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Psalm 103:2-5

The act of taking communion doesn't provide you with the benefits of the kingdom of God, it reminds you of what has already been done for you in order for you to appropriate those things into your life. You are already forgiven, healed, delivered and prospered by the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Each time you partake of the Lord's table you proclaim that which has already been given you by faith by remembering His covenant with you! As joint heirs of eternal life we possess all the benefits left to us in His will and everything He possessed He has given to those who follow Him! We are one with Him in the Spirit, anointed to do the greater works that He promised we would do by faith in His name!

If we would only recognize who we are and to Whom we belong, we would quickly conquer the powers of darkness and win multitudes to Christ! The hospitals would be emptied, the prisons too and the world would be a different place! In the Welsh revival whole towns were converted with so many being saved that the mules in the mines couldn't understand the commands of men who's tongues had been touched by the Holy Spirit!

For this reason also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power for all patience and long-suffering with joy. Colossians 1:9-11

THE INHERITANCE OF THE SAINTS

Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints (us) in the light. Colossians 1:12

Jesus died for us, His body was broken for us, He was beaten for us and by those deep wounds we are healed. He suffered greatly to give us a New Covenant written in His own blood, ratified by the Holy Spirit, He died on an old rugged cross for His beloved!

The New Testament is our inheritance given by the Lord Jesus to His followers, His last will and testament. (the legal instructions for the disposition of one's property after death) We have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness, provisions for healing, deliverance, prosperity and authority to rule and reign in His stead! We have been made complete in Him!

We as the "Bride of Christ," the wife of the Lamb who was slain has been given all things to enjoy, all of her needs have been met, her sins forgiven and she has been delivered from the powers of darkness, only to become a warrior Queen endowed with power and glory from on high! She walks, rules and conquers by the mention of His name the power of attorney of the King of all kings and Lord of all!

God has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed (transferred) us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, (as we are the image of Jesus) the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in Heaven and that are on the earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:13-17
